If Androids Could Get High (or Mechanical Drums and Polychromatic Acid)

I took Jean to the club to see a DJ set of self-playing bongos. Gigantic robot drums with wheels run around the floor playing beats to the electronic music. The crowd went wild. They were jumping, screaming, sweating, crying, ripping out their clothes and thrusting against one another.

“I’ve never seen a more enthusiastic crowd!” shouted Jean over the loud pounding.

I can’t remember the show to be honest. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that the fog machine was blasting LSD dust. We were all out of our minds. All of us but Jean.

I wish androids could get high on acid, Jean would have enjoyed the show so much more.
