Them Witches

They call them witches because they know what no one else knows, and because they can do what no one else can. They call them witches because they can connect to the Network and read everything that has ever circulated through it.

There are four of them. And the four of them are on the run. The Ministry of Information wants them all killed. The streets downtown are plastered with slogans from the Ministry of Information. “Submit. Surrender. Consent.” The Ministry wants anyone who knows more than the Brain to be killed.

The witches run an underground network. They teach the citizens who want to listen what the Ministry of Information really does and they teach them how to unplug from the Brain.

They call them witches because they know what no one else knows, and they do what the Brain fears most.
