Death of Li4M

The Li4M struggled to move the rock. Every single one of his arms strained agains the heavy weight. He felt as if the whole mountain rested on its back.

The heat sensor read over 200K. The cooling system was failing. Inside Li4M the temperature of the core systems was raising dangerously. A stream of cold water hit him from one side. A second one followed.

From inside the guts of Li4M, through the water and the steel, a red warning light started blinking. An loud alarm noise came from his insides. One of the arms gave up and dropped dead. In a chain reaction all arms seemed to fail and all the sound and light shut off.

The captain of the Disaster Relief Unit watched the robot be crushed under the rock in the blink of an eye. He scratched the back of his head and cursed out loud. Then, the captain switched on the communication panel on and called for another lift robot.
